The 3rd Shift

One day closer to the weekend. The Metallica set was a little newer last night hitting "Holier Than Thou" and "Don't Tread On Me" and closing it out with "No Leaf Clover". You can say what you want to say about Metallica's black CD but that disc kicks some ass. "Holier Than Thou" rocks with the best of the old Metallica and you can't convince me otherwise. Even songs like "Struggle Within" and "of Wolf and Man" are just in your face.

Also this morning did a double shot of Ozzy with one of the two being his new song "I Don't Wanna Stop". This song is just impossible to listen to at a low volume no matter how hard you try it has to go to eleven. Listeners seem to really be digging the song as well. "Black Rain" will be in stores May 22.

A great thing about working the 3rd shift is the fact that I now know every strip club in town as they all advertise with us and all night I hear how they have the hottest "entertainers". Well I will tell you this I will be the judge of that and will be more than happy to report back to you who it is.

The highlight of the night is when Talben calls in to talk about something. I say something because I still haven't figured out what he is talking about in 9 out of 10 calls. It's classic and every morning I have to share the call with someone because they are just to funny not to let some people around the building hear. This morning I would swear he fell asleep for a brief minute while trying to talk to me.

Tonight is ZZ Top with a pre party at the Hard Rock. $3 Bud Lights so needless to say Thursdays show will probably be a rough one, but at least I will have a nice buzz for a while. To get ready for the show I thought I would do something different and play a new track from Tesla's new CD "Reel to Real" and their cover of ZZ Top's "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers". Awesome.

Oh one last thing cranked up Iron Maiden's "Run To the Hills". Nuff said.
