The Good Ol Days

I have had a few emails come in and ask if I ended up living in a crappy motel like the Milner Inn when I landed in Phoenix. I am proud to say no. There are times when I miss the days at the Milner Entertainment Complex. Where else can you have a Dunkin Donuts, liquor store, and a strip club all within walking distance? Damn I miss the Foxy Lady. Ok I mean I miss the free beer, and hell Darryl the owner gave me a pacer to drive for a few months. Make fun of that if you want but it's certainly better than walking with my 12 pack to the studio evernight or hitching a ride with one of the dancers.

I actually landed in a decent apartment. Great location, I mean hell it's 10 minutes from the Tilted Kilt (see Saturday's blog) so I can't complain. Even though as it was put to me over the weekend, "everything is backwards in this place". The Shui is not fung. You get my drift. Only a few months on the lease and since I have only hung up a few pictures it will do.

It was awesome to play the new Heaven and Hell track this morning called "The Devil Cried". Pick it up on the new CD which features 3 new tracks. The show is here on Sunday with Megadeth and Machine Head. Don't miss it. From what I have heard of the new Megadeth it's going to kick some ass. Go Dave!

The funniest part about the shift was the E.A.S.(Emergency Alert System) Test went off which starts a flashing blue light in the studio. It happened to be during "Another One Bites the Dust", so it looked like there was a strobe light in the studio. Brought back the days of disco or roller skating or something. This may not be as funny as it was to me but hey it was 4 a.m.
