The Gym, Suns, and Kick Ass Rock

Today I am hurting. Back in the gym for the first time in months. Not a pretty site but I made it through. The only thing is well.. keep a towel on until you get back to your locker. I think this should just be a common courtesy to the other guys in the locker room.

Ok now that I got that off my chest.

I have to say congratulations to the Suns. Putting an ass whipping on the Lakers. I will be so glad when the Lakers are sent home after the first round. Keep your eyes on the prize.

Randy Johnson had a tough in his first game, but I think he will turn things around and end up with a great year.

On to another kick ass night of rock at KDKB. After a few days of talking about Listener Appreciation Day calls started rolling in asking if the 3rd shifters were going to be able to call in and get their requests in as well. The answer...Yes. If I am in the studio then we will take care of the 3rd shift crazies that are out working, partying, pr whatever the case maybe. Requests are always welcome since we know rocking to 93.3 KDKB makes the night go faster.

As is the case I started off the evening with Mandatory Metallica. Tonight was "Sad But True", the cover of the Motorhead classic "Damage Case", and "Blackened". These guys are just incredible. The earlier stuff to me is the best but I am not one of these guys who says that "Load" and "Reload" were sell out albums. They were simply moving along with where the industry and the music took the band.

Calls are still coming in requesting the new Ozzy song, which is great. It's good to know that fans are digging this tune. As you should it's loud and has a great guitar riff not to mention it's just catchy. The CD hits the stores on May 22. Other highlights in the morning were "Rainbow in the Dark", "Another Thing Coming" both of these songs now matter how much I hear have to be cranked up. The monitors in the studio will be blown out sooner or later. I don't know if I should be saying that, but I guess I will find out when we need new ones.

You can always make requests for Mandatory Metallica or any song for that matter by emailing me roadie@kdkb.com or call the request line 602-260-9393.

Tomorrow is Listener Appreciation Day. I am excited to know what everyone will request to hear since this is YOUR radio station.
