Heaven and Hell / Megadeth / Machine Head

Well the fact I actually made it to this show is amazing. I Felt like crap all weekend. At the last minute I decided to go to the Heaven & Hell show with Megadeth and Machine Head. I am glad I made this concert. I missed out on Machine Head so would love to hear some feedback on how they were (roadie@kdkb.com).

I will start with Megadeth. Ass Kicking Agression. The new CD is going to be awesome, but I must say I don't think I have seen Dave Mustaine shred like that in years. It was simply amazing to watch. His band sounded awesome and put on a great show. I think you could tell that he was happy to be playing with this band and opening for Heaven and Hell.

Heaven and Hell featuring Ronnie James Dio... It has been years since I have seen Dio (Long Beach Arena 2004) and Ronnie can still sing his ass off. The guy still has incredible pipes and is great frontman. You could tell these guys were genuinely happy to be playing these songs and not just doing it for the cash. Vinny Appice hit the drums harder than anyone I have ever seen. He used the drum sticks upside down so he could use the thick end of the stick. They were like f**kin' tree trunks hitting the drums. Simply put these guys fucking rocked the Dodge Theater.

After the show headed into the station and took some calls about the show and everyone seemed to agree that Heaven and Hell was a great concert. Started off the Monday morning with the title track of one of my favorite Metallica albums, "Master of Puppets", then into "And Justice For All", and "The Shortest Straw".
Ended up staying to help the new morning show and hit the 60 a little later than normal which sucked since traffic is awful after 6 a.m.
